Hello,
if I am some time not @home, my Intranet-Server fetch the Messages from
all of my ISP-Accounts and filter it (perfectly) with procmail.
Now, according to the Maildir specifications the NEW Messageas are stored
in the Maildir subfolder new/.
Now back @home I connect to my IMAP and tried reading my messages...
Connection wendt fine using TLS/SSL but now before it count the messages
I get the hell on the Intranet Server... Courier move all mesages from
"new/" to "/cur" and then it past the list to the IMAP-Client
if you now connect local over NFS for example to the Maildir, Mutt show
the messages as "OLD" and those messages are not more detected by Biff
or other mailwhatchers which expect the messages in "new/".
This problem happen since Courier from Debian/Sarge... (There are no IMAP
problems however)
The problem is, if you have 10000 new messages in "new/" it will take
ages to show the Mailbox...
and I get this Error:

Which is not realy funny on my Test-System where I will change the
Mainboard, CPU and memory next time:
P2/366
512 MByte
ICP GDT 6128RD (incl. RayDyne)
2 x 9 GByte (System, 1st channel, Raid-1)
8 x 9 GByte (Maildirs, 2nd channel, Raid-5)
Load Average is while connecting to the IMAP arround 1.5-2.8 and if I
install FAM it increase up to 15 and the System is for hours not more
reponsive.
Please note, that the SCSI-Disks are NEW, without any defects and never
used. But the productions date is over 5 years left.
