Yes, the upload.sh is just a script that contains the path to the perl
script and the command line argument (which is the path to the mbox).
But yes, the file is delivered then the script is executed, and the
attachments are pulled out just like it *should* behave. but if i want to
get any more emails, i have to manually go and erase the mbox file myself.
I know, the recipe doesn't look right to me either.

I'm quite surprised about that. Are you sure it really does work this
way? As I said, with your syntax I'd expect it either to deliver the
message or to execute the script (depending on whether it's addressed
to upload(_at_)(_dot_)(_dot_)(_dot_)), but never both.
