Since the problem seems to be related to how the Perl script is
interpreted (e.g., as a Perl script or as a shell script), I've
modified the recipe to (hopefilly) eliminate the "guesswork":

* ? /usr/local/perl/bin/perl $HOME/Mail/billo2.pl
$HOME/Mail/billo2
If this goes overnight (when I receive most of my email) without any
errors, I'll tentatively call the problem solved.
