Try to enable the log on procmail to see what is going on, you can for
example add this to a /home/user/.procmailrc:
LOGFILE=/var/log/procmail
Is there enough room on the file system to fit the message?
Is there a quota on this file system? Procmail gives this message when
the usage of the file system is over the user quota.
Also check the permissions of the file system.

I've wrestled with this for several days now and haven't found
anything
that solves my dilemma. My setup is CentOS5 with sendmail and
procmail.
All of my system mail is being directed to my mailbox in
/var/spool/mail
by the aliases file. All of it is being stored in /var/spool/mqueue
and
is not being delivered. In the log is the message:
Jul 21 15:58:35 hermes sendmail[29367]: n6KNbXgl018291:
to=<jhammer(_at_)xxxxxxxx>, ctladdr=<jhammer(_at_)xxxxxxxx> (500/501),
delay=21:21:02, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=local, pri=2191387,
dsn=4.0.0,
stat=Deferred: local mailer (/usr/bin/procmail) exited with
EX_TEMPFAIL
How can I get the mail delivered to the correct place? There is no
procmailrc.
