Yeah, I really think the solution for .forward is to just replace
forwarded(_at_)address(_dot_)com
with
|sendmail -oi forwarded(_at_)address(_dot_)com
and that becomes a sufficient workaround.
Or, for procmail users,
:0
! forwarded(_at_)address(_dot_)com
That really should make most people happy.
