ISPs with lots of customers may not be willing to publish SPF records
(even very loose ones), but if we can get financial institutions to
publish SPF records, we may well be able to convince ISPs that they
should check for them in order to help protect their customers.
We're a 450,000+ customer ISP and we support SPF 100%, FWIW. We have
published SPF DNS entries for the three domains that cover our customers
and hopefully we'll get IT on board in the coming months to have records
published for the corporate domains. For now, we'll be waiting for
SpamAssassin 2.7x to roll out and then use that for checking/tagging
inbound email.
Cheers...
