Mail::SRS v0.16 is now available from http://www.anarres.org/projects/srs/
and (as soon as the indexer gets there) from CPAN. It includes fixes as a
consequence of discussions today on the list.
This contains the following fixes:
* Use SHA1 for MACs.
* Shorten the hash to 4 bytes.
* Use = instead of + for separators.
* Don't mess with the base64 alphabet - it can use + again as intended.
* This should stay within 64 bytes 90% of the time. Stats to follow.
* Remove all obsolete code.
The following issues are outstanding (with priority):
* Deal with possible case insensitivity (medium).
* Full RFC2821 email address parsing (noncritical in a prototype) (minor).
* Probably lots more documentation fixes (high).
This represents a significant update from Mail::SRS v0.15. Evaluators and
implementors should start working with this new version as soon as
possible. There have been some minor documentation updates, more to
follow. Hopefuly tonight logrotate won't kill Apache at 6am.
