First, due to a shortage of public IP addresses, both my primary mail

This shouldn't be a problem.

On a related note, my ISP has all of my inaddr-arpa records set up as
CNAMEs to generic names at my domain which are PTRs to the actual
names. Is there any chance that this will mess anything up?

This also shouldn't be a problem.

Set things up with an ?all instead of an -all so that the default is
to treat things like the SPF records didn't even exist, rather than as
a rejection. Then do some testing to make sure you have it right and
that there aren't any details that have been overlooked.
