RE: overall paradigm shift in email, plus rambling philosophical discussion

Meng, you are not picking on only the grounds of pragmatism, you also pick
on the basis of privilege.

You are closing the door to those below you on the learning/experience curve
and to those that have not yet entered into the e-mail systems. Ethically, I
believe it is wrong to close an open system because we do not yet know how
to do so with any level of precision or understanding.

Remember Tammany Hall. And be very careful - I know I would be more
comfortable if you would involve others of good intent in establishing the
legal basis for SPFv2. Let me re-phrase that as a pre-requisite. I already
blacklist chunks of the planet - Yahoo is no different.

Less provocative kitsch analogies please, they are only a distraction, or a
deliberate mis-direction? this is serious enough that specifics be used.

I do not support the forking of e-mail at this time, under these terms.

Ed

</snip>

then I know I'll pick the latter on grounds of pragmatism
alone.

I know, I know, Franklin said: "They that can give up
essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety
deserve neither liberty nor safety."

ps. you no longer have the right to not identify yourself according to the
supreme court.
