Slowly but surely we are on the road to IETF ratification.
The IETF is "checking our work" and making sure SPF didn't
miss anything.
Two months later, the co-chairs of the MARID working group
recently put out a statement supporting the decisions we've
made so far. If anyone has a bottle of champagne in the
fridge, this is as good a time as any to use it up!
The recent decisions by the IETF working group co-chairs is indeed
great news. However, as Meng mentioned above, the IETF is still
"checking our work". In particular, it is quite possible that the
IETF will want to see real-world results of how SPF performs. (Such
testing is not always required for the initial RFC status, but may be
required since email is such an important part of the Internet.)
So, please, we need research results of how SPF is performing. Please
see the following message:

So far, the only data I have is mine and the stuff from Daniel
Taylor. If you want to see SPF become and RFC, this is how you can
help out. Even if you are just a small mail admin, answering the
questions will be helpful.
