So, my assertion was right. A SPF check on the MX record would "result
in" NXDOMAIN (i.e. the resolver would throw NXDOMAIN and SPF would
follow accordingly).

Based on this, would any of the current implementation of SPF give any
indication about this particular case or be generic and say
"TempError" only?
