Wrong. See RFC 2822 3.6.7 "Trace fields" and RFC 2821 4.4 "Trace
Information". It does not mean everyone obeys the RFC but there IS a
standard format.
3) If inspected long after reception, there can be problems with
lack of knowledge of subsequent changes in the SPF record in the DNS
This is the only valid reason, the rest is mostly FUD.
