A dynamic vs. Post SMTP solution? or Both?

For most SMTP developers, the solution is more obvious - at SMTP.

Not for the administrators whose most probable control comes with post SMTP
scripts, sieve, perl or otherwise.

As an email administrator, scripting the SMTP transaction with Python or
Perl is easy for sendmail using pymilter or Sendmail::Milter.

I know I've read about similar facilities (vastly superior, no doubt :-)
in Postfix and Qmail.

I also read right here about an SPF implementation written in sendmail CF
language - but I think that guy must be a masochist.
