The "Minimize Administration Errors" problem for new zone cuts
is clear, but I still don't understand the "Minimal Impact".
If a q=ns does not work, it's the problem of the domain owner.
He's free to fix it when he doesn't like the side-effects.
Like he's free to not publish any sender policy or DK. Yes, I
know, they plan to remove the "zone cut" in SPF draft -01, and
in fact it's not very important for the senders and SPF.
But it's still sad for receivers, they get less FAILs without a
zone cut, and for some hardcore HELO checking they now need CSV
(where they can use the left-to-right-cuts kludge).
I'm completely lost with the new % trick in your text, how does
it work ? What is DNS.Lookup ( ???, node.example.com) in your
text ? It returns a pointer where I might find a _policy TXT,
so far I get it, but what is the q=??? in this example ?
Is this % idea only a trick to create an ordinary zone file, by
some automatical "zone file editor postprocessor" ?
Bye, Frank
