But a syntax must be defined.

To integrate the various SMTP approaches like MTAMARK, CSV,
SPF, and traditional DNSBLs something like SIQ might help:
<http://tools.ietf.org/id/draft-irtf-asrg-iar-howe-siq>

SIQ is the name of the one I couldn't remember...

On the abuse.net "spam tools" list they also discussed the
old "nullmx"-idea again recently (draft also expitred):
<http://purl.net/xyzzy/home/test/draft-delany-nullmx-00.txt>

nullmx does not do the same thing as Selective Sender, MTAMark, SIQ,
Unified-SPF/PTR, etc. You need something in the rDNS to determine if
the machine is allowed to send email, something that the network owner
has control over. nullmx uses the forward DNS, so it says whether a
*domain name* is allowed to send email. The network owner doesn't
have control over the forward DNS, the domain owner does.

Actually, nullmx says whether a domain name can *receive* email, it
doesn't say whether a domain can *send* email. Something like "v=spf1
-all" says that the domain can't send email (but could possibly
receive email).
