Here is an update on the election process.
Of the nominations made, 6 have been accepted and 8 are declined, with 4
more folks undecided. I will not post the names yet, but the final list
will be available within 24 hours.
It is now a few minutes after 08:00 UTC. I would like to hear back from
anyone who has not yet accepted or declined within 12 hours if possible
(20:00 UTC) so that I can finalize the list and get the Condorcet election
set up. If you haven't accepted/declined, please do so within the next 12
hours.
At 00:00 UTC or a bit before (less than 16 hours from now) the election
will be available and people can start voting. Now would be a good time to
post to the list to indicate that you're running, and if there is any
information you would like to share with voters about your position,
experience, qualifications, intentions, etc. This is not required... there
will be at least a couple candidates who will appear on the list but
probably won't advertise themselves. It's OK to post candidate statements
after today, but keep in mind that the election starts in 16 hours and
voters won't be able to change their votes once cast.
(If you haven't received a reply back from me to confirm that I received
your email, please try me again. I believe I have replied to everyone, but
if I didn't acknowledge please send again. If your mail to me gets
blocked, try postmaster(_at_)nekodojo(_dot_)org, or find me on AIM (nekodojo) or YIM
(nekodojo_org).
Thanks!
