We have already enabled SPF checks at SA level, but it doesnt seem to
have given great benefit. Probably because of low usage of SPF.

On the top of it SPF checks cause problems when famous banks like
citibank , host wrong SPF records and their mail get caught as spam

I am not sure where to get NPOV's on this ( picked the term from
wikipaedia ). Will SPF be widely used in the future.

It already is, According to Information Week, it has 30% of the market. :-)

But "widely used" is all relative. Think of it like a "social network", If
you get hit 80% of the by the same type of spammer using a set of domains
that is SPF protected, the SPF is highly effective.

But if the spammer is not using a set of domains that is protected by SPF,
then you lost or gain nothing (other than a DNS lookup).

But then again, is this is norm, then maybe SPF did its job of deterring
spammers from using SPF protected domain, and in that, itself, suggest SPF
has worked too.

Its like getting a high and expensive alarm security system for your home.
I would think that if my HOME was robbed only 1 TIME, then the alarm system
was ineffective.

So a low count of SPF ready domains coming into your system can be viewed as
a good thing. :-)

Just consider, that ANTI-SPAM should not be the norm. We are in effect, a
war and hopefully, one day, it would be a thing of the past.

But we should put our guards down too. :-)

My view on it.
