That did the trick. Nobody was there (apparently), but I could
talk with me and change the subject (apparently).
If you find the #spf channel empty, you haven't found the #spf channel
on irc.perl.org. It hasn't been empty since 2003, with maybe *very*
short periods when there are net splits.
