Here's a snapshot of my XSLT for marking up XML syntax:

There is also old IE default stylesheet, ported to XSLT:

and mozilla's pretty-print stylesheet somewhere.
However, be aware that in some cases both of these stylesheets display
non-well-fromed XML:
