I asked for

aspart of a spec draft,
as opposed to the various extensions.

As others have said, that's still part of a working draft, and hence still 
unofficial. 

Xalan does have a prototype XSLT/XPath 2.0 processor in progress I haven't 
checked whether result-document support is one of the things which is 
currently supported, but it's possible... If you want to try it, see the 
"xslt20" branch on Apache's CVS server.
