RE: how to eliminate tabs?

2003-03-21 01:10:25
Hi,

I have a problem with a portion of code generated:
The goal is to produce something like this: <a
href="results?city=Rome">Rome</a>
The xml is like this:
<city>
    <name>Rome</name>
    <state>...</state>
    .....
</city>

The stylesheet I wrote is this:

<xsl:template match="city">
.....
    <a href="results?city={name}"><xsl:value-of select="name"/></a>
.....
</xsl:template>

But the result is

<a href="results?:&#10;        Rome:&#10;       ">Rome</a>

Are you sure the above code is used, since the attribute doesn't have the
"city=" bit at all; also, there's a COLON character after "Rome" in the
attribute value. Check your stylesheet that the template for "city" is really
used.

Cheers,
