My observation here is that the template menuTree does not
inherit the css
properties from the calling template.
Is that expected? Whats the solution to this.
No its not expected.
CSS is not inherited in XSLT.
Tom Passin explained that earlier in this thread.
CSS applies style to appropriate elements in HTML,
and is done by a browser; hence is off topic for this list.
