Once the table becomes huge, may it be not so
efficient to use "choose...when"?
How big the table becomes is not important (within the limits of your system's
RAM), what is important is the number of unique values between which you will
have to choose. If there will be a large number of them, you will have to
define a protocol (algorithm) for how the values you do have will be
transformed into the values you want. Start with that, and the solution will
follow.
By the way I already have a schema mapping all the
correspondant data together(actually they are two huge
column of data).
Is there a way to query the schema
If you mean that you have an XML document that maps the values you have to the
values you want, then you will want to use the document() function to access it
from the XSLT file. You can then use XPath to get the values you need from it.
