Sorry, but this isn't going to work. :-( You can't drop a predicate into the middle of an axis specifier, such as "preceding-sibling::".

If you want the first preceding S95:ID, that's

preceding-sibling::S95:ID[1].

If you want the first preceding sibling, if it's an S95:ID, that's

preceding-sibling::*[1][self::S95:ID]
