Blatant mistake in the example, the xml should be
<svg>
<text id="123">mytext is here</text> <---- closing text tag and NOT svg
</svg>
regards

Subject: [xsl] change only the value of a node
Hi ,
Say my document looks like (extremely oversimplified but you get the
picture) this
<svg>
<text id="123">mytext is here</svg>
</svg>
My stylesheet needs to output the whole document unchanged, only the value
of the text node needs to be changed to the value of the "dynamictext"
parameter (see below) in the stylesheet ie
<svg>
<text id="123">newvaluehere</svg>
</svg>
My code to output the whole document unchanged works:
<xsl:param name="dynamictext"/>
<xsl:template match="*">
<xsl:copy>
<xsl:for-each select="@*">
<xsl:copy-of select="."/>
</xsl:for-each>
<xsl:apply-templates select="node()"/>
</xsl:copy>
</xsl:template match>
How would I go about doing this? (or : what keywords to use while searching
the FAQ, couldn't get a close match to this problem)
Kind Regards
Jorg Heymans
