Generally I don't know how many matches there will be.
Wanted some way to iterate over all of them.
I need an int since the group function needs the param.
Any alternatives?
I'd have preferred
for-each select='group()'
or something like that.

your regexp only has one () group, so groups 2 to 10 are
always going to be
empty.
