This means that you're using a buggu XSLT processor.
Note that the version of Xalan which shipped with JDK 1.4 *is* "a buggy
XSLT processor"... and that upgrading to a newer version is possible but a
bit complex. See the FAQs starting at
http://xml.apache.org/xalan-j/faq.html#faq-N100B4
for details of how to upgrade JDK 1.3 and later.
