Apologies, I misinterpreted the previous reply. Thanks for your detail
answer here, which I think does point me in the direction I need to go.
Thanks again, Mike Spencer.

Thanks for your reply, I did download Xselerator and took a good look
at
it,
on the surface it looks like an excellent application, probably better
than
XML Spy at least for my purposes, I will probably buy it. However in
my original question I am trying to display my output xml resulting
from my xslt within my application in much the same way that
Xselerator does with their buttons, I can also do this in XMLSpy, but
I prefer Xselerators presentation. So it doesn't really help me, all I
see in my app as a
result
of the xslt is the text in the browser not the xml, with no way of
saving
it
as xml. I see nothing in their examples that shows me how to do that.
Thanks for your input.

You didn't understand at all ...

I hope that following this exhaustive set of instructions it would be
impossible to fail again:

1. You don't have to run XSelerattor at all.

2. Open with your IE the following file:

\Program Files\Marrowsoft\Xselerator25\Samples\Techniques\Techniques.htm

3. Click on the link "Grouping with totals/subtotals -- nested Muenchian
method"

4. Near the end of the page there is a button, with the following text on its
face: "ShowMe"

5. Press that button and watch

6. In the textarea below (titled "XML/HTML Result:") you'll see the
resulting XML document displayed in the pretty-printing format of IE.

 7. Look in the script of the page to understand how all this is done.
