I want to increment a value to concat to a string.
You cannot increment variables ... they are unchanged once bound.
For example:
<a>
<b>1</b>
<b>2</b>
</a>
<a>
<b>3</b>
<b>4</b>
</a>
The output would be:
<b id="b1"/>
<b id="b2"/>
<b id="b3"/>
<b id="b4"/>
Dynamically calculate what you need at each step:
<b id="b{count(preceding::b) + 1}"/>
But, if you just want unique values and you don't care what the values are:
<b id="{generate-id()}"/>
I hope this helps.
