RE: XML file size from XSLT

You might find it easier and/or more efficient to get the file size in
your calling program and pass the file size to the transformation as a
parameter.

Is it possible to get the approximate XML file size from XSLT? Is it
posible to use some string functions to count the number of chars under
document element (though sounds terrible)?
