Eh, no. There is no guarantee that a line with a non-zero heigth
is created. I'd stick with a non-breaking space, which is *not*
whitespace aftar all, and will cause the line to have the line
height implied by the font.
I disagree ... I use <block><leader/></block> because the initial pattern
is spaces, the initial length is 12pt, and I believe no white-space
processing is done on leader spaces.
In what conditions (other than clipping outside the viewport) would the
blank line not be rendered?
