Well here' the deal. I want to do that because my first namespace contains
a schema and the second is my data. The first namespace has elements
AttributeType for each attribute contained in the data namespace. Example
Namespace1:
<ElementType name="row">
<AttributeType name="column1" .../>
<AttributeType name="column2" .../>
<AttributeType name="column3" .../>
....
</ElementType>
Namespace2:
<row column1="value" column3="value"></row>
The reason I did not use a variable in my code below is because I am
processing attributes of each row in a for-each and I want to compare
against the attributes listed in the schema (because some attributes do not
exist in the namespace 2 data, like above, column2 is missing) so I am
checking to see if it is the correct value to output in that <td> cell.
Anyways I cannot use a variable (I thought) in the loop because you cannot
reassign the value of a variable.

Subject: Re: [xsl] two namespaces and a position problem
<xsl:variable name="x" select="position()"/>
s:AttributeType[position()]
means
s:AttributeType[position()=position()]
so the filter is always true so it is the same as
s:AttributeType
you want
<xsl:variable name="x" select="position()"/>
....
s:AttributeType[position()=$x]
although thi sis actually a strange thing to want as $x is the position
in your for-each which is
<xsl:for-each select="./@*">
and as the order of attributes is system-specific and unspecied your
current position number is essentially arbitrary.
