Sorry, I assumed you must be generating XSL-FO.

If you are generating HTML, then the question of how to produce barcodes is
an HTML question, not an XSLT question. As always, the rule is: first decide
what HTML you want to generate, then design the XSLT code to generate it. If
you don't know what HTML to produce, this list isn't the place to get help.
