Re: Microsoft .net and XSLT 2

2004-12-21 11:36:18
NOTE: I should have stated Saxon.NET v.0.1.8.2 as we are very much
still in early Beta release mode of each build. Once the
specification comes closer to becoming a recommednation we plan to
focus on bringing things into a more official release mode. But with a
year, at least, away from becoming and official rec theres still
plenty of time to work and rework each release until we can be sure
Dr. Kay feels comfortable with recommending it as an official
recommendation for Saxon on the .NET platform. Until his blessing is
given then it will remain in its current early beta status.

Hope this helps clarify!

Jeff,

Please visit the Saxon.NET project site for details on the current
support for XSLT 2.0 on .NET. Please note that with the release of
Saxon 8.2 today I plan to spend some time today and as much time
needed tomorrow to get the Saxon.NET 8.2 release prepared, tested, and
posted to the server by tomorrow evening.

You can add the following feed to your feed reader to be notified when
its ready or you can simply visit my blog periodically to find the

Greetings,

Sorry if this is off-topic ...

Is anyone using Microsoft's .Net with XSLT 2?

My problem is I am developing some XSL stylesheets testing with the latest
Saxon and now I need to develop the application.

I keep running across things like this:

http://www.theopensourcery.com/wordp1/index.php?p=4

...which makes me think that Microsoft isn't going to adopt XSLT 2.

Thanks,
Jim Neff
