Re: Space after <a> tag in text output

 It could be that you have 
 indentation set to yes (which is the default of some XSL parsers),

indentation isn't optional (if serialisation is supported at all).
In all XSLT systems, it defaults to yes if writing html and defaults to
no otherwise.
