exclude-result-prefixes="xmlns"
typing exclude-result-prefixes into google or just searching for it in
the xsl spec would have shown numerous examples of this. xmlns isn't a
namespace prefix. You were using the prefix saxon and that's the one
you want to exclude.
Originally I tried the 'saxon' namespace but although it didnt generate
any error it still persisted in the result. So I then tried 'xmlns'.
I tried once again after this mail from you but I still get the output
with <HTML xmlns:saxon="http://saxon.sf.net/">
Thanks
