It's pretty confusing. The functions described in EXSLT can in many cases be
implemented either as extension functions or as named templates. If there's
no extension function available for your chosen processor then you can
include the XSLT implementation, which will be in the form of named
templates. If you use an xsl:include to include the named template, then you
should normally call the function using xsl:call-template, rather than with
an XPath function call.
