In the 3rd edition 1.1 has been dropped almost completely from the
written text. It is mentioned in the history section and in a very few
instruction descriptions, only where confusion may rise. Like with the
xsl:document instruction: " It should not be confused with the
<xsl:document> instruction described in the abandoned XSLT 1.1 working
draft....".
There is no processor available that can or will claim XSLT 1.1
conformance (there is not even a REC), so why would you bother
developing on an abandoned spec?
