Extension function???? I have a webservice which queries from database
and returns the desired results. Can that webservice be included in my
XSL?

either you will need to use an extension function appropriate to your
processor or the database would have to be exposed via some protocol
accessible via the document() function - the second seems unlikely.

Hello,
Can someone help me out in connecting to database using xsl?
I have to connect to oracle 10g database and retrieve data and display
it in browser. Say, I have control id in my xml, based on this control
id I have to get the control name which is in the database. I tried
using saxon, but I want the results to be displayed in browser not in
cmd prompt.

This is my XML:
<CONTAINER ID="1" TYPE="1" CREATEDIV="Y">
                <CONTROL_ID>2</CONTROL_ID>
                <CONTROL_ID>3</CONTROL_ID>
                <CONTROL_ID>7</CONTROL_ID>
</CONTAINER>
I shud get the control name from database using the <CONTROL_ID> tag
in
XML.

Note: I m not using any XSLT processor... just editing XSL with Visual
Studio 2005.
