Ypu should really avoid using d-o-e anyway it';s fragile and explictly
non portable and usually a sign that sommething is wrong with the
process somewhere.

However the reason it's not having any effect on your sample is the
templates are not being used.

<PurchaseOrder OrderDate="2008-11-14" xmlns="http://www..oracle.com/pcbpel/po";>
   <ID xmlns="">ID66&lt;</ID>
   <script>

That is script in the namespace "http://www..oracle.com/pcbpel/po";

<xsl:template match="script">

That matches script in no-namespace, but your input doesn't have any
such element.
