RE: [xsl] document() results in timeout

2009-07-03 07:03:25

Dear Michael,

as part of my homework (before writing to the list) I tested ca. 200 cases manually as well as automatically. So finally I assumed it was not a "real" timeout.

In the meantime I did some more testing with other editors and standalone-xslt-processors but feel unable to sytematize the various errors.

With the setting oXygen10.3+SaxonB 9.1.0.7 it finally works. This is somewhat confusing, because SaxonB 9.1.0.7J as used from command line stops parsing the remote doc with "FODC0002: Java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 503 for URL: http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"; (and I checked that again to be sure that it's not a temporary problem).

Thank you for your advice, Patrick

It's possible to change the timeout by setting Java system properties: = see http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/net/properties.html Regards, Michael Kay http://www.saxonica.com/ http://twitter.com/michaelhkay =20 >
