what about defining custom axis - spouse, customers, orders in case it
not in same xml-tree
mycompany/customers::company[(_at_)id eq
1]/directors::person/spouse::person/name
Not sure I understand the question, but I guess that what's called a "custom
axis" can be implemented with a regular or a higher order function.
