Our customers applying FOP 0.20.5 based XSL:FO rendering on a daily bases for
analytics and reporting and nobody so far complained about quality. On the
other hand, certainly InDesign provides a superior quality. So you should
select that solution that makes most sense in your particular case. You won't
have a match for free AND *perfect* quality.
