Actually ']' isn't magic if it is first
That may be true in some regular expression dialects, but it's not true
in the dialect defined for XPath (which is based on the one defined for
XSD).
and '-' isn't magic if it is first or last.
There's a long history of confusion in this area for the XSD regex
dialect, so it's best to avoid making such assumptions. See for example
