So XSLT streaming should fit in the "data science" and "data analytics"

If the source data is in XML then it is useful for extracting data and
handing it off to an environment properly equipped with primitives for
requisite statistical analysis.

Broad Question: Would you provide a scenario/example of doing data
science/data analytics using XSLT streaming please?

Actually given that R is the go to language for data scientists and
they have one of those godawful xml parsing packages as well as
packages for interfacing with Hadoop and dealing with data to large to
fit in memory, this is not likely to happen.
