Yes, a single email to a spamtrap does, by itself, get you listed on

it often triggers checks for the name server and whois data.
Even bounce messages? And 'email signup confirmation' mails from website
registrations?
Such mails should never go to spam trap addresses. By definition, no
legitimate mails whatsoever should ever go to spam trap addresses. That's why
spam traps are so effective.

Never ever send mail to <a

No intelligent person will ever send mail to that address, but a dumb harvester
just collects the address and poisons some poor spammer's address list with it.

Try http://www.mehnle.net/guerilla to see how it works. Every HTTP request
will generate a new spam trap, and so I can even track back who harvested a
given (spammed) address.
