Wild guess: try putting quotes around each usename in the to list.
poll mail.mydomain.net localdomains mydomain.net
with proto POP3 timeout 30 no dns:
user 'msauve' with password 'foo'
to nsauve support=msauve service=msauve
sales=msauve msauve here
