[fetchmail]fetchmail 5.5.0 and SMTP error: 250

2001-10-18 10:17:26
Hi all

The problem: fetchmail deads suddenly... to recover we need to identify the
message which is causing fetchmail to dead, delete that and restart
fetchmail manually...this is not good if the problem occurs friday night.!
no one in the office until Monday 2 days without processing emails.

The error:
fetchmail: reading message 346 of 375 (95838 octets) fetchmail: SMTP error:
250
2.0.0 Reset state
fetchmail: mail from FETCHMAIL-DAEMON(_at_)localhost bounced to
asonedh(_at_)amauta(_dot_)rcp(_dot_)ne
t.pe

the question: what do i need to prevent this to happen again? this server
processes messages addressed to @org.org

Note: this happens usually when a message have a BCC to more than 1000+
destinations.

I am using the following fetchmail config file:
# Start Cobalt Multidrop Domain
set daemon 1200
set logfile /etc/fetchmail/pop.log
poll amauta.rcp.net.pe aka org.org lima.org.com proto POP3
no dns:
envelope X-Envelope-To
user oxam with pass NOTREALPASS to * here
poll A.b.c.d aka org.org proto pop3 no dns
