Also I do not know how to upgrade fetchmail to the latest version.

The problem: fetchmail deads suddenly... to recover we need to identify
the
message which is causing fetchmail to dead, delete that and restart
fetchmail manually...this is not good if the problem occurs friday night.!
no one in the office until Monday 2 days without processing emails.
Please ee if you can reproduce this with the current version.
