Hello Friends,
First, fetchmail is great.
One of my ISP's is using a POP3 that didn't work correctly with fetchmail.
After some investigating I found out, issueing TOP 1 99999999 actually send
out as many lines;-)) Whick blocked the server for 30 minutes. So that was a
lot of fun. It seemed, this problem only occured on the last message in the
box. So I used the fetchall option to work around and it works fine. Maybe,
fetchall should be made the default because it seems the TOP command gives
problems with a lot of servers. I'm not sure but I think my isp uses
sendmail/NT. If you want, check it out at 'mail.is.nl'.
Question: In my .fetchmailrc I need something like: ..... is * here .... So,
the local name of "*". When I use fetchmailconf, it seems I can only place a
'*' (surrounded by apostrophes). So, I always have to edit the configuration
to remove the ''s manually afterward. Am I overlooking a way to set this
right with fetchmailconf?
Greetings,
Richard
